It's time for another Starbucks recipe! Today I chose the Double Chocolaty Chip Frap because it was very request and also my second favorite drink from Starbucks (chai being the first). These were so delicious so let's get baking!
2 ¼ cups flour
2 cups sugar
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup strong coffee
3 large eggs
8 ounces sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sugar
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup strong coffee
3 large eggs
8 ounces sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mini chocolate chips
Step 1:
Step 1:
In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar, cocoa
powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Next add the oil, coffee, and
eggs. Beat at medium speed until smooth. Then mix in the sour cream, chocolate
chips and vanilla.
Step2:
Step2:
Place the batter (use a standard size ice
cream scoop) in cupcake liners and bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes.
Whipped Cream Frosting
2 cups heavy
cream
½ cup sugar
1 ½ teaspoon
vanilla extract
8 oz. cream
cheese
Step 1:
Blend all
ingredients together until whipped. The peaks should be stiff.
I used a Wilton
1M tip and a piping bag to pipe on the frosting and topped off the cupcakes
with mini chocolate chips and placed a green straw on the side to look like a
Starbucks drink.
