Funfetti Brownies

IMG_3621I've been wanting to make homemade brownies for quite some time now and I finally decided to make them last week. Normally i'm not a fan of homemade brownies, I feel that they are never chocolatey enough but let me tell you, these were AMAZING! I am in love with these brownies, I knew I needed to put a girly twist on these brownies so I decided to add in some candy melts to add a pop of color! The candy melts also added to the flavor. I brought these to my cupcake class for all the little girls and they went crazy over them!
  • 12 oz bag Nestlé Semi-Sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Candy melts (use as much or as little as you would like)
PREHEAT oven to 350ºF.
MELT 6 ozs. of chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, stir in eggs, flour, sugar, vanilla extract and baking soda. Stir in remaining chocolate. Chop candy melts into small pieces and stir into batter. Place in a greased pan.
BAKE for 18 to 23 minutes. Depending on the size pan you use, it may bake longer.
