It's time for a DIY candle! I was so excited to make this candle because candle making was always something my dad and I had done when I was younger. I specifically remember making candles in the first house I lived in. When we made candles we would take a long wick and dip it into the melted wax then into cold water, we would keep repeating those steps until our candle was complete. It was so much fun! Sometimes I would go a bit over board and make a HUGE candle. The candle I made today is a bit of a different technique. I think the candle came out so lovely and is a perfect gift to give.

GLUE the candle wick to the bottom of your mason jar. Wrap the top portion of the wick with a straw or skewer to secure it on top.
PAINT the inside of the mason jar with the corn syrup. Then pour in the sprinkles and mix around until the entire inside of the jar is covered in sprinkles.

MAKE a double-boiler system on the stove top, chop the candle wax into smaller pieces so that it will melt easier. Place the wax into the double-boiler and stir until melted. Add in as many scent drops as you would like.
POUR the candle wax into the jar, be careful to not hit the sides of the jar because the sprinkles may fall. I put mine in the freezer for a couple of hours to let everything set. Trim your wick and waaa-laaa you have a beautiful, homemade candle that not only smells like a cupcake but looks like one too!
You can also add a ribbon onto the jar for extra decor!
